Our standard range of tables are Refectory and Shaker style, in standard and bespoke sizes, with round tables also available. All our tables have solid hardwood tops and frames.Our range of chairs include the three legged Tuam chair (old Irish chair), and the traditional Sugan chair ,also standard kitchen and dining room chairs, with padded or timber seats. All chairs are made with the traditional mortice and tenon joints in solid hardwoods.

 

Drawing of Sugan Chair: The term Sugan is the Gaelic word for straw/straw rope and used for chair seating, sugan chair used to be a popular kitchen chair in country districts, particularly in the west and southwest of Ireland.
 
Drawing of Old Irish/Tuam Chair: A three-legged corner chair, of which the back leg are made from one single board, and the seat is triangular and made with mortice and tenon pieces of timber, they have know to have been in widespread use in Connaught (Sligo) 150 years ago, but are undoubtedly much older.
